Payment & Pricing

Payments must be made on time per the agreed schedule. If a payment is missed, Author.Inc reserves the right to pause or terminate work until the issue is resolved.

Subscription & Installment Plans

Taxes & Additional Costs

Any applicable taxes, printing fees, or third-party expenses are the responsibility of the client.

Intellectual Property Rights

Ownership of Work

You own 100% of your book’s intellectual property. We do not claim ownership of your manuscript, ideas, or royalties.

Use of AI in Drafting

We may use AI tools primarily for administrative tasks (e.g., transcription, structuring), but in some cases, AI-generated refinements may be applied to improve clarity and coherence. While we strive to preserve your unique voice, minor AI-driven adjustments may be made as part of the editorial process. We conduct a quality check on all manuscripts to ensure content maintains human readability and originality, with safeguards to prevent unintended AI-driven plagiarism.

Publishing & Service Scope

Timeline Expectations

If an author fails to provide feedback, approvals, or requested materials in a timely manner, Author.Inc is not responsible for meeting originally estimated delivery timelines. Any delays on the author’s side release Author.Inc from any obligation to meet previously agreed delivery dates.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Author.Inc’s liability exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.

Dispute Resolution

All disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Texas rather than litigation. Clients waive their right to participate in class action lawsuits.

Indemnification

The client represents that their manuscript does not contain defamatory, plagiarized, or illegal content. The client agrees to indemnify and hold Author.Inc harmless from any claims, damages, or legal fees resulting from the content of their book.

By working with Author.Inc, you agree that:

Refund Policy

Refund Eligibility

At Author.Inc, we strive for transparency and fairness in our refund policy, recognizing the substantial work involved in each project.

Refunds are issued only in rare and exceptional cases and are determined based on work completed.

If a refund is granted, it will be proportionate to services already delivered.

Requesting a Refund

To initiate a refund, submit a written request outlining your reasons. We will review the request transparently and determine a fair resolution.

Processing Timeline

Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of mutual agreement. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Non-Refundable Items

Payments for completed milestones (e.g., manuscript drafting, design approval) are non-refundable. Any third-party expenses (e.g., printing costs, vendor fees) are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.
